The Reversal - From Spirit-Less to Spirit-Filled | Sermon Audio
On March 23, 2025, Pastor Ryan Kimmel continued the Easter series The Reversal with a sermon from John 7:37-39, focusing on the theme of moving from “spirit-less” to “spirit-filled.” In the context of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles—where water was poured out daily to remember God’s provision—Jesus makes a powerful declaration: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” Pastor Ryan emphasized how our lives today are often so full of material things and busyness that we fail to recognize the spiritual emptiness within. He urged listeners to turn to Jesus, the only true source of living water, who offers the Holy Spirit to fill and empower us. The Holy Spirit is not an “it” but a person—God’s presence dwelling within believers. Through faith in Jesus, we are no longer empty, but filled in our soul and by the Spirit.
